Module 1 - Background
Module 1 reviewsthe purpose, scope, and applicability of the guideline, with an emphasis on the types of releases that are covered (and not covered) by the guideline.
Module 2 - First Steps in Assessing a Release
The second module in this certificate course looks at the initial steps to take in assessing the size of a refrigerant release, including a quick screening method to determine if a release is less than or over 100 lbs. We also detail the information that should be gathered in order to characterize the release and fully contribute to an incident investigation.
Module 3 - Equations
In Module 3, participants willincrease their knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals which were used to develop the governing equations to estimate refrigerant releases. Topics include fluid dynamic fundamentals, gas flow model determinations, liquid flow model determinations, and equivalent geometric diameters.
Module 4
Applying the Ammonia Release Calculation Tool to Gas Releases
Module 4 continues with definitions and instruction on using the Release Calculation Tool for gas releases.
Module 5
Applying the Ammonia Release Calculation Tool to Liquid Releases
Module 5 offers instruction on using the Release Calculation Tool for liquid releases.
Final Exam
The final course examination is administered online. Qualified registrants MUST have paid their Certificate Course tuition and MUST have successfully completed all Quick Check Quizzes (at least 80% correct on all quizzes).
